I discovered Seamingly Smitten when I did the oven mitt + potholder project for Sew Mama Sew last month, as they sponsored my post. I immediately used my Etsy gift certificate to purchase and instantly download The Sadie Grace Nightgown pattern. What a great find!
Annabel and I stopped at Joann's to buy fabric for an upcoming project, and she picked out this super soft purple polka-dot flannel. I made the bias tape trim out of a purple butterfly cotton that she also chose. I found out later that the nightgown pattern was one of the 26 patterns in the Sew Fab e-pattern sale that ended on October 8th. If you were smart enough to snag the bundle (I was not!) you already have the pattern!!
The keyhole neckline with a little bow is optional, but it is the perfect girly embellishment for the nightgown. Sizes included in the pattern are 6 months - 8 years. It's well-written and appropriate for everyone from beginners to advanced sewists.
I also put together the little sausage dog by Jane Foster that came with the last issue of Mollie Makes (#31). I look forward to the cover gifts that come with each new issue. It's as exciting as the prizes kids find in Cracker Jack boxes, but for grown-ups.
