For the 4th of July we made washi tape stars! This is the one I decorated. They're super easy to make, and can be strung together with butcher's twine, string or ribbon to make a banner.
You will need:
-A variety of washi tape
-Foil stars, or you can make large stars out of thick paper
-X-acto knife and a self-healing cutting mat
These foil stars come 6 for $1 at Dollar Tree.
Line the tape strips up, being sure to cover all of the star. Flip to the other side (washi side down) and carefully trim around the edges of the star with a sharp X-acto knife.
Annabel with her star!
My father is Latvian and the 4th of July happens to be his name day. Colton and Annabel decorated their foil stars and we gave them to my father as cards! I almost strung them together, but my guess is my father will prop them up as is on his bookshelves (which are numerous).
I hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
