Here's a great last-minute Halloween craft for kids. I made these last year with googley eyes which was faster, but I found some paper scraps this morning and thought making scary eyes would be more fun.
You will need:
Hershey's chocolate bars
White crepe paper
Scraps of colored paper
Scissors, tape, glue
Red and black fine-tip markers
A dime for tracing small circles
Make the eyes and glue or tape them 2/3 up the chocolate bar. Then mummify them by wrapping the white crepe paper around the bottom. I folded the crepe paper in half lengthwise before winding it around the head. Tape in the back and you're all done!
It's fun to see how many different types of eyes you can come up with!
I'm including these in a gift for our neighbors who recently built a fire pit in their backyard. It's a s'mores and wine kit for cold fall evenings outside with kids.
Happy Halloween!!!!
