April Modern Bee Block: Neon Ninja Star

Today is the last day of April. How did this happen? Eight degrees colder and it could be snowing here in New Hampshire. Gah! Our neighbors are opening their pool tomorrow. . maybe we'll all just sit in the hot tub and stare longingly at the pool. 

Last night I made this Neon Ninja Star block for Modern Instabee Hive 15, from Lindsay Conner's book Modern Bee. Our queen for the month asked that we use jewel tones without it being too rainbow-y. I enjoyed making this block! I love Lizzy House Constellations in blue so much that I just stocked up on another yard of it from Sew Fresh Fabrics before it's impossible to find. It's so versatile. I used my last scrap of St. Clemens in Red (it's really orange) by Brandon Mably for Westminster Fabrics and was compelled to track down a yard of it on Etsy.
