Today I'm part of the Christmas Keepsakes Blog Tour hosted by Shabby Fabrics. This tree is one of nine blocks in the ten month Block of the Month quilt. My first thought when I received this tree block kit was where was this when I started quilting?!
I chose the Christmas Tree block; having grown up in Oregon, I have a serious thing for trees. The pre-fused laser cut kit is nicely packaged and the block goes together quickly.
The Christmas Keepsakes Block of the Month is a ten-month program exclusive to Shabby Fabrics. There are nine months of blocks and a final month with the materials necessary to finish the 36" square quilt. It starts in January of 2015 and runs through October of 2015, and you can sign up at any time. You could have a full year to complete the quilt! It's $10 to sign up and then there are two options: $14 per month for a traditional kit or $17 per month for a laser-cut kit. US shipping is $3 per month and International is $7.
To enter the giveaway for a $25 gift certificate to Shabby Fabrics, please comment below saying what you think I should make with my block (bag, wall hanging, continue on with the whole quilt, etc!) and/or, simply mention which block is your favorite.
