Did you jump on the Creative Pay-it-forward bandwagon earlier this year? A friend makes you something during 2014 and you agree to make gifts for the first five people who sign up on your Facebook post. I received a beautiful Dresden pillow from my friend Laura, made with Ellen Luckett Baker fabric, and three people signed up to receive something I'd made. This circle scarf in Nani Iro fabric was for my cousin Laura (Lauras everywhere!). I used the new tutorial from my friend Elizabeth of Andpins. My version only uses one fabric and it's a bit narrower than hers; if you're looking for an easy-to-make gift, I recommend it!
This Honey Cowl was for my friend Kaesmene. I've known her since college and this Madelinetosh DK twist color will look great on her. She's a quilter and sewist, so I of course had to knit her something.
I posted a tutorial for this sketchbook cover back in March. It was for a friend from college who is a terrific artist. She lives on the ocean and I thought Sphere by Zen Chic would be great.
I've since picked up another yard of the same Nani Iro fabric to make myself an identical circle scarf. It'll have to wait until January, however, as I'm fully into holiday gift projects.
