It would seem that I am addicted to using Sizzix dies with my scrap fabric. Jess sent me beautiful Utopia pieces along with one of her Supernova blocks; I've divided up the goodwill she sent into 12 key fobs / wristlets to pass on as gifts. I used this tutorial I wrote for Pellon — if you click through to their site there is a free PDF to download and/or print.
Instead of using one piece of fabric, I die cut the Utopia into 1.5" strips using this die in my Big Shot Pro, and then die cut those strips up into 1.5 x 3" mini strips using this die. After sewing 10 mini strips together per key fob, I followed the tutorial and fused the fabric panels to a 10.5" piece of fusible fleece instead of a 10" as it is written. The other difference is that I lightly glue basted the side flaps down instead of pinning. Hooray for Fineline® Glue Applicator Tips! Now, if only I can find my small bubble mailers. . .
