It's hard for me to say no to a large, comfy pillow. When I was at Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor, New Hampshire with a bunch of quilty friends this summer I came across these two prints called Shimmer Stripe from the Shimmer line by Jennifer Sampou for Robert Kaufman. It's not only beautiful fabric but also has a wonderful weight and feel. I knew right away that I wanted to put the stripes in different directions to achieve a sort of criss cross or woven effect. For the full tutorial, on how to make this 22" square pillow please visit the Sizzix blog here.
The prints on the back are reversed for a slightly different look.
The whole pillow — including inserting the zipper — took me less than an hour from start to finish. It's getting hard to find Shimmer I prints — I just bought additional yardage on Etsy in the darker colorway to make tone on tone shams and a bed runner using the same square design. I'd tell you where I bought it but it was on sale and I *may* have bought all but a half yard or so. . .
What? Am I not supposed to be in this picture or something? Am I in your way?
